The territory of the municipality is in the temperate zone and should have temperate climate with four seasons and unequal lengths of day and night. Due to major difference between summer and winter temperatures this part of Bačka has more continental than temperate – continental climate.

Based on data about air temperature it has been determined that the warmest month is July with average temperature of 21,90 °C and the coldest is January with -1,30 °C. Average annual temperature is 11,10 °C. In vegetation period, from April till September, the average temperature is 18,10 °C which favors the development of crops.
